The role consists of 80% Technical and hands-on duties and 20% Administrative and leadership duties. The selected candidate will perform advanced diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on heavy equipment and ensure all activities meet HSSE standards. Key Responsibilities

•Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy mobile equipment.

• Must have experience breaking down mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, generators, etc. OR have completed mechanic courses or a degreed program.

• Must have valid driver license & clean driving record.

The requirements for the position are as follows:

Must have a minimum of 3 months of  experience pipe fitting Carbon Steel; and
Able to successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a hands-on pipe fitter test by performing the following: fitting a  pipe using a cutting grinder (Metabo) to make a square cut, applying a bevel using a grinder with a sanding disc, cutting the opposing end of the pipe to saddle a pipe of the same size at a 90 degree angle in addition to performing silver brazing of a socket joint pipe in the horizontal (flat and horizontal flow) and vertical (vertical up flow) position in accordance of ASME requirements.

Identifies defects such as: cracks, blisters, stress fractures and cosmetic flaws 

Grind out defective areas , smooth rough edges 

Prep Fiberglass, resin, and damaged ares for repair 

Shape and smooth edges to match contour properly

• Will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend or kneel; reach with hands and arms.
• Use hands to handle or operate standard office equipment and measuring devices.
• Near vision and ability to adjust focus; able to talk and hear; ability to visualize. 
• May spend long hours in intense concentration requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
• There are a number of deadlines associated with this position which may cause significant stress.
• May be required to climb and balance work at heights.
• Occasionally lift materials and supplies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

• Will spend majority of time in office setting.
• May occasionally spend time in warehouse, assembly shop and welding shop. 
• Noise level is usually low to moderate but may be very loud.
• May involve hazardous materials, fumes, moving parts/equipment, electrical shock risk, extreme heat
  (welding) and extreme cold (liquid nitrogen).
• Severe hot weather is likely and severe cold weather is possible on occasions when working outside.
